Rockingham GOP Meeting October 16, 2024

Rockingham County Republicans –

Early voting has been steady with many Republicans voting early to protect the vote and to make the election too big to rig. As of Friday, October 4, 3,353 had voted early in-person 1,156 additional voters had returned marked absentee ballots. This represents about 8 percent of the 55,834 registered voters in Rockingham County voting early.

There are a number of ways in which you can increase the vote between now and November 5:

• Encourage friends to register to vote (regular voter registration ends October 15)
• Request an absentee ballot if you are not going to be able to vote or help a friend request an absentee ballot if the friend is not going to be able to vote early in-person or on Election Day November 5
• Vote early in-person yourself and bring a couple of friends along (Early voting in Rockingham County is at the County Building from 8-4 M-F and 9-5 on the last two Saturdays before November 5 on October 26 and November 2.
• If you plan to vote on Election Day November 5 bring a couple of friends along
• Donate to candidates (the earlier the better so they can effectively use the money for getting out voters
• Participate in Trump Force 47 contact of low-propensity voters (voters who only vote occasionally and not even during every presidential election) Contact Whitson Emory at 318-773-7837 for more information. These are the voters we need to put Republican candidates over the top. The Trump Team has a lot of opportunities to participate.
• Contact your District Chair or a precinct captain about how you can serve during early voting and at polling precincts on Election Day. Their contact information is at the end of the chairman’s reports which you receive regularly.

• Oysters for Obenshain fundraiser for Va. State Senator Mark Obenshain is next Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds, 4808 S. Valley Pike. Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears is the featured speaker. Governor Glenn Youngkin will also be attending.
